dogs
dani_elley05 asked:

I have seen two pitbulls left outside during the storms in the Bay Area. There is no dog house for both of them to find shelter. The dogs never seem to come in the house. There is never anyone to clean the feces, and it just sits there for the dogs to live in. The dogs never anyone around to walk these two dogs. How can I report these actions to give the dogs a better home?

Lack of adequate shelter is generally one of the things that will constitute abuse. Contact your local police department or animal control agency and let them know.

no shelter and excessive ***** in the yard = neglect at the very least. report to your local SPCA/humane society.

Whenever you think that its a matter to report, it usually is. The examples you gave are what I believe are cause for concern also. Report now before it is too late.

You are right, this is a form of cruelty called neglect. Report it to your nearest Humane society and the local police. (Don’t use 911. Look in the phone book for the police number).

human society, spca. Some people shouldent be allowed to own animals.

If there’s no shelter and the dogs more or less live outside, then that is cruelty. If you call your local SPCA and explain the situation to them, they will be able to help.

    hello….

i work for the RSPCA ( uk )

this sounds like they just have the dogs for show and really do not care for them properly…my next door neighbours had to rottweillers in the same state and i had them taken off them 3 weeks ago..

contact the police first and they will come round to there house and check the property…for all you know they could aslo have animals in the house aswell not being seen to as they should…if the police are not happy with what they see they will call your local RSPCA or another rescue in your area…you do not have to tell them who you are but it is up to you ..

if you dont want to ring the police first then ring your local rescue shelter..they will send an ACO inspector to the house with a warrant and search the premises…

if you have a camera and you had access to a veiw of there yard that they are kept in..you could also take some pictures of the place and take them to your nearest shelter…and im sure that once they see the pictures they will certainly check it out…

i hope i have been a help to you..and you are a good person for being concerned :)

Animal cruelty is not giving proper shelter, food or water and in my own opinion not cleaning up after them which is also a health issue and not giving these dogs attention. You can try to call animal control and have them come evaluate the situation..they will contact the owner and give them a certain amount of days to fix the situation before either fining them or taking the dogs. You can also try talking to the owner and asking if you would be able to help out-unless you know the owner is doing it to be cruel-by walking the dogs and cleaning up. If the owner has fallen on hard times maybe ask other neighbors to help donate their time and materials to build a good dog house for the dogs.

A law was passed that you must walk your dogs now for the other things ,I’m not really sure.but i do agree with you something has to be done these are living things that God made so they should be taken care of, and it is on you to do it.They will not know who called even if we are wrong.

Go to animal control and say that these people are neglecting their dogs! And like leaving them out in dangerous weather with no shelter..

    i hope i helped
